This is one of the great hotels of the world. If you can afford to stay here, do. We couldn't, but it was still worth seeing. Go to the long bar where the Singapore Sling was invented, get your sling, shell peanuts and throw the shells on the floor. It's part of the experience. Tour the hotel afterwards, especially the inner courtyards. At night the tropical moon shines down on an orchestra playing above you on the second floor, you are after all on the equator and this is the perfect romantic setting. Anyone who was anyone came to the Raffles Hotel.

Probably the best Sunday Brunch in Singapore is at the Bar & Billiard Room. Exceptional selection of virtually everything you would associate with a high quality Sunday Brunch. e.g. variety of smoked salmon, lobster, eggs every which way possible, caviar, cheeses and of course unlimited champagne to go along with it!<br /><br />You need to book a table at least by mid week for the next Sunday since the waiting list is long!
