382136 4 Location 548780 <p>I chose the overnight cruise ship tour of Luxor which allowed for much more time on both sides of the Nile and I am glad that I did. Instead of one 15 hour day, we had two days at a more leisurely pace and got to stay right on the Nile in this wonderful hotel with a clear view of the Nile from all room balconies.Half of our group stayed at the Nile Palace Hotel right next door, and the other half stayed in the Sonesta Luxor. I did not see the facilities of the other hotel but the group was happy so I would say that it was as good as or better than our hotel. The Sonesta Luxor rooms were comfortable, the amenities were good, the hotel has some nice shops and their food was very good.
