This tiny pine covered island is often forgotten by the tour companies but it holds so much to see and do, Agistri is known localy as the hook because it keeps drawing people back time and time again! this is my 6th year of visiting this magical place and i hope it will encourage some of you other travelers to come out and see for your selves.

Just one hour by catamaran from Athen (Pireaus ) you will arrive on this magical island where close to the port, you will find Yianna hotel a family run business consisting  15 immaculate hotel rooms all contains TV'S, fridge, private bathrooms, balconies and free air- conditioning also self catering  maisonettes sleeping 2/5 people ideal for familys all at low cost rates. The complex offers a swimming pool with sun terrace, and incorporates the "Alterego cocktail bar" with very a comfortable seating area and spacious restaurant, the staff are always friendly some times a little crazy but this all adds to the totally relaxed atmosphere of this wonderful place, The food is all home cooked and a really a good selection is always available whether you just want a bar snack or to try one of the local greek dishes the menu is very extensive.

Every Tuesday they host a Greek party night with lively music and traditional Greek dancing, a self service buffet is served with free wine, then the party really  begins when you are invited to join the dancing its a crazy night but everyone has a fantastic time staff and guest a like!!

There are many places to visit while staying on the island, most people hire motor bikes or cycles to travel around and discover the  stunning  beaches were you can watch the sunset and swim in the crystal clear water ,or explore the sleepy  mountain side villages all set in the traditional Greek style, visit some of the pretty little churches hidden around . if you want a little more of the fast life you can visit Aegina the  much larger island just ten minutes away  by boat, or maybe you'll  just want to chill out and sip cocktails by the pool !!!!.
