354191 4 Location 537700 <p>Bonorong Park was a pleasant, short drive from Hobart.&nbsp; Perhaps&nbsp;the best&nbsp;animal attraction I have ever visited (yes, I'm including the Georgia Aquarium in hometown Atlanta).&nbsp;</p><p>Saw many of the animals that are 'famous' in Australia, including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas, wombats, emus and Tasmanian devils.</p><p>Every where I turned, kangaroos and wallabies&nbsp;leapt and lounged.&nbsp;&nbsp;Fed many of them by hand, with the complimentary food provided.&nbsp; Saw&nbsp;several mamas with joeys.&nbsp; Witnessed a wild scene where several males&nbsp;attempted&nbsp;to mate with the female that&nbsp;was apparently the most available.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Also, stroked a koala (which is not a bear), "spoke" to a cockatoo, and heard Tasmanian devils growling at each other.</p><p>For me, one of the highlights of Australia so far.</p> 2007-02-02T22:54:13-08:00 948142087 2006-02-02T16:00:00-08:00 0 18 229626 3558265 354191 0 184479 0.0287169567608612 2006-02-02T16:00:00-08:00 Published 20.0 Fantastic fauna 2007-02-02T23:37:09-08:00 93227 0
