380819 5 Location 535281 <p>As per our custom, we drove into Oberammergau and headed straight for the tourist information centre.&nbsp; We spoke with the lady in the tourist office but she was not the most helpful person we have encountered within tourist offices so far.&nbsp; Fortunately, out the tourist info office, there was a board posted with different available accommodations.&nbsp; We selected the Schnitzereihof and called them up on the free telephone next to posting.&nbsp; Fortunately, they had a room for 4 for that evening and the price was right at 84 Euros including breakfast.&nbsp; When we drove up, we were pleasantly surprised by how nice the facility was; it even has a swimming pool on the facility.&nbsp; Another nice surprise was wireless internet access for guest for 5 Euros per day.&nbsp;</p><p>The next morning, we were treated to one of the nicest breakfasts we've had in pensions (relatives' places not withstanding).&nbsp; It was a full cold breakfast buffet with fresh baked goods, nice selection of cheeses and cold cuts, and yogurt and muesli and more.&nbsp; We thoroughly enjoyed the lovely breakfast.</p><p>We were not able to stay any longer despite our desire to because they were booked up for the week.&nbsp; Overall, highly recommended and great value.</p> 2006-08-28T21:16:17-07:00 557843041 2006-08-24T17:00:00-07:00 0 16 227714 2060474 380819 0 203286 0.0 2006-08-23T17:00:00-07:00 Published 0.0 2006-08-28T21:29:49-07:00 16742 0
