260669 3 Location 531811 <p>The <a href="/go?l=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.taosinn.com%2F&tracking=external" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"><span style="font-weight: bold">Taos Inn</span></a> is a very nice place to stay right in the heart of downtown Taos, near the plaza. It has beautiful traditional Taos adobe architecture. The lobby and adjacent Adobe Bar features a two-story high room with a set of vertical vigas extending up to a stained glass cupola.</p><p>&nbsp;There are a wide range of rooms at the inn, from very reasonable $75 rooms in the main building to more extravagant $300+ rooms in the surrounding buildings. Most rooms have fireplaces. Being on a new budget approach to travel for this trip, we opted for one of the $75 rooms, and it was just fine (and a good bit cheaper than any of the b&amp;b's in town). We enjoyed the benefits of staying at a higher end place, like big thick towels, a nice restaurant, and a great location.</p><p>The Adobe Bar has live music several nights a week. The night we were there, a folk-style singer performed with acoustic guitar. We also enjoyed eating at Doc Martin's, the restaurant at the hotel, which is renowned in Taos. Breakfasts were especially nice.
