385412 3 Location 539938 <p>Just one block from time square on west 47th and a&nbsp;few blocks walk to central&nbsp;park.&nbsp;its in a prime location and its prob one of the cheapest places to stay though it is in a dorm.&nbsp; You can walk there from grand central or NY Penn station.</p><p>The staff are chinese people and werent very friendly, more business like.&nbsp; They have one computer in the living room where they sleep which has free internet and there is also free water...The dorms could be nicer though the beds themselves arent bad though there arent any ladders to get to the top bunks or lockable storage..so you gotta trust the roomates with your stuff.</p><p>The bathrooms are ok, but on the dirty side and i heard this place used to be a brothel. its a brand new hostel and they're still working on changing the brothel like decor!!&nbsp; The one bathroom is difficult with around 10 people staying. mornings and evenings are a nightmare as the toilet isnt separate from the shower so there are endless queuing which is annoying.&nbsp;</p><p>The biggest annoyance of the place was that the all the fittings seemed ELECTRIFIED and highly static to a point that i was scared and had to think twice from opening the doors with bare hands. its less painful&nbsp;when you dont expect but dread goes through your mind when you know youll get zapped. otherwise you wont leave your room!</p><p>its cheap for where it is</p> 2006-06-01T09:36:35-07:00 816644097 2005-12-23T16:00:00-08:00 0 -9223372036854775790 226225 1531020 385412 0 215582 0.207892582016575 2005-12-19T16:00:00-08:00 Published 151.0 2006-06-04T07:32:51-07:00 89419 0
