The New York Times distinguished Din Tai Fung as one of the top ten restaurants in the world in 1993, so it was amazing that i got to eat in this place, and it is still, (like most things in China) incredibly cheap!</p><p>I tried the speciality Hairy Crab Roe Dumplings, the steamed pork dumplings and vegetable dumplings. The hairy crab and pork was delicious, but i was not such a big fan of the vegetable ones!</p><p>As well as the a-fore mentioned fillings, each dumpling is filled with a type of soup. You pick up the dumpling with your chopsticks, and make a small piercing in it with your teeth, in order to then suck out the soup. Once you have sucked out the soup, you dip the dumpling into your dish of soy sauce, vinegar and freshly grated ginger, then put the whole thing into your mouth.
