185960 3 Location 520333 <p>My experience in this hostel has been an overall "good" rating.&nbsp; I will break my stay at this hostel into sections.</p><p>Location:&nbsp; This is a great location because it is far enough away from the major tourist section but close enough that walking is easy.&nbsp; You do have a river side location which is nice but my room is also located on the main street, and every big truck or bus that goes by, the bed shakes.&nbsp; But when you are tired, it is hardly noticed.&nbsp; Oh yeah, when I arrived I got off at the stop the bus driver said and I had to walk a couple of blocks, so the direction but on the hostel's website and "Let's Go, Western Europe!" where incorrect, a little confused for the first 15 minutes.</p><p>People: The staff is pleasant, but not the most helpful.&nbsp; I found that the&nbsp; front desk staff tried their best but&nbsp; I found&nbsp; out more on my own then from them.&nbsp; Actually more from a great tour guide, but that is another story.&nbsp; As per the people in my room, everybody seems nice but nobody talks to each other, I thought this was a going to be a great way to meet people, I was wrong.&nbsp; Let's hope the other hostels and people are of better attitude.</p><p>Room &amp; Amenities: The room is pleasant, with some storage under the bed but only enough for one person per bunkbed.&nbsp; Basically a first come first serve basis.&nbsp; The linens are clean, but I don't like the idea that I am sleeping under a bed cover, with no sheet to protect me from anything living in it.&nbsp; I only think things are living in it because I got a bite last night and I don't know what from, but I didn't have it when I was in Scotland at a wonderful B &amp; B.&nbsp; The bathrooms are decent but then you can't expect greatness when you are sharing it with some 30 women.&nbsp; There are only 2 showers, 2 sinks and 2 bathrooms for everyone.&nbsp; By the end of the day, it gets quite gross toward the end of the night.&nbsp; I had to take a shower today, so I tried to go earlier in the morning, as not to have to endure the gross scene at the end of the night.</p><p>Free continental breakfast is what is included.&nbsp; This would be okay if it actually included&nbsp; some fruit.&nbsp; All you get is toast and cereal.&nbsp; Then you have to wash your own dishes.&nbsp; I think tomorrow before I leave Dublin for Killarney that I will go out and buy breakfast, at least then I will be full on something healthy!</p> 2007-07-06T02:15:59-07:00 585105409 2007-07-06T17:00:00-07:00 0 -9223372036854775790 211241 4981770 185960 0 142074 0.080345600948591 2007-07-04T17:00:00-07:00 Published 30.0 The stay 2007-07-06T02:34:57-07:00 9105 0
