Tower of London Review

Great place to visit
From A whirlwind visit through London... in London, United Kingdom on May 26 '06
My friends and I were very anxious to see the Tower Complex and for the most part we were quite impressed. We were fortunate to have the Ravenmaster as our tour guide and he was quite "punchy" as the British would say. It was a great entertaining history lesson. The only disappointment we suffered was in viewing the torture building. I guess that the three of us were hoping for more. The tower only displays a few of the machines used to torture its prisoners and the display wasn't very descriptive. I guess as Americans were used to more "blood and gore" and the Brits tend to be a bit more civilized!
If planning a trip to the tower complex be sure to give yourself a few hours to take it all in. We would've missed out on a lot if we hadn't allowed ourselves enough time to truly appreciate this piece of history.
