Four Seasons Ritz Review
Ben and Mark's review
A Blend of the Past and Present
It is obvious that when this hotel was built it was to be a bastion of luxury, and it surely was in its day. Although the Four Seasons renovation of the mid-century modern look of the Ritz is not entirely successful, this is still a beautiful hotel. And while it may not look like a Four Seasons in every detail, it certainly feels like one with the service you receive. The staff is well trained and their professionalism makes up for any design shortcomings. If the Four Seasons' purpose in building the new spa was to create an oasis of relaxation and calm in a busy city, they suceeded. This hotel is a mostly successful blending of different styles and decades, and a comfortable break from a surprisingly busy city. One other note: this hotel is not as far away from the action as one might think; just bring a good pair of walking shoes and be ready to take a cab every so often.
