380387 3 Location 504061 <p>The youth hostel on Sakurajima was a bit of a blow out. It's a real shame though because the place has the potential to be awesome.&nbsp; The facilites are nothing to write home about (as being either amazing or shocking), but as far as hostels go it was pretty sweet.&nbsp; However, this hostel really loses points in terms of the staff, they were shit!&nbsp;&nbsp;All four of us were at a loss to explain just why the&nbsp;man and lady behind the front desk were so blatantly rude and in such bad moods.&nbsp; There was no greeting when we arrived, no thank you's and no goodbye when we left.&nbsp; All of this and we were the only people staying there!&nbsp; We had been given a warning by friends who had stayed there that the staff don't seem to take too kindly to foreigners staying there, and I would have to agree.&nbsp; I don't know what their problem is but something is up.</p><p>It cost us each 2,650 yen to stay a night and that got a bunk in a room that could fit up to 8 people.&nbsp; Bedding was provided if you dont have your own.&nbsp; Outside we saw a dirt tennis court though there was no net at the time of our visit?!<br /></p><p>If your heading to&nbsp;Sakurajima and are in need of somewhere to stay,&nbsp;by all means&nbsp;stay here,&nbsp;just dress in some warm cloths for the frosty reception.</p> 2007-04-10T22:27:53-07:00 287309862 2007-04-08T17:00:00-07:00 0 -9223372036854775790 205296 4247677 380387 0 254551 0.234716167300449 2007-04-06T17:00:00-07:00 Published 100.0 2007-04-11T17:37:51-07:00 99806 0
