Dec 1st, 2007

I cannot say it is my experience... it is more about our experience... but everything is first time once...

Once upon a time.... or... Long time ago... it has been actually this summer, right after my return from the trip to Greece that was amazing, relaxed occasion to join one friend of mine at her big Greece wedding in Amaliapolis. Because of all the beauty, I kept my eyes opened, and enjoyed a whole week in peace.

Philee had been in Italy about a week before my trip, so both our bodies have been excited of a beauty of the world wide nature. His body has been full of hiking up to some volcanoes in Sicily together with his brother Jerry. Mine was filled up of the swimming days exercises. So, in the middle of kind of busy year it works like a balm for our souls, and about thirteen, fourteen of July our relaxed bodies get flamed into an one, and there was a winner... one of many, but the one!

I have been a nice surprised Oct 3rd on an appointment I ordered over two months before... My doctor was so kind to me, and he looked happy for me... Second appointment was Nov 21st and doctor gets closer on the ultra sound, used zoom and showed me all adorable details of our Baby, except of one, that we would like to keep secret, even if many of friends of ours already asked for... We have to choose two types of names. Female or Male? It is still a question...

I believe, it was a nice journey for our unexpected winner, it is its spa time in my tummy, and it is still its long journey a head... we are just in the middle today, before it will be one of us... on this World... with us.

A while afterwards...

Jan 1st, 2008

Three months left...

Most Czech people spend the afternoon of December 24th at home with their families, dressing the Christmas tree and preparing food for the evening celebrations.

Traditionally, until their dinner in the evening, Czechs are not permitted to eat anything but fruits or nuts in order to see the "Golden pig".

The central dish for the Czech traditional Christmas eve is a soup made from Carps head, Fried Carp with potatoes Salad with Tatar sauce and a Christmas Cake made from little sponge cakes and sour cream, it is all frozen with sour-sweet fruits. Christmas dinner is served between 5 and 6pm, it can be a quite hectic affair, while the parents do not allow anybody to leave from the rich served table. Czech children believe that Christmas presents are brought by "Jezisek" - Little Jesus. So that is why the parents devise ways to sneak away from the table... so they can place the children's presents under the rich dressed Christmas tree. After dinner one of adults rings a bell of Christmas, it could be any size of any sound of a Bell... to signal it is time to move near the Christmas tree to check out if Jezisek left anything for each person of the family. Children are amazed to see if Jezisek has visited their Christmas tree and if he brought something for them.

We went down to Southern Moravia by train for Christmas eve this time, even Jezisek was invited to Jessica's and Jiri's House... We had a delicious dinner made by my mom, who came from Slovakia, so we had our traditional Slovak Christmas dinner, which is quite similar to the Czech dish, but we had our favorite sauerkraut soup with plumbs (such a sour-sweet, yummy dish) instead of the traditional Czech fishy soup.

It was a Black and White World outside, all trees frozen, the white frost everywhere... it looks like a Winter Kingdom where each and every snowflake was a fairytale... what a pity we feel the coldness, so we could not stay outside to listen to all of them... Once upon a time... brrrrrrrrrr
