A step back into the Victorian era!!! This place has a grand, ornate staircase and wide corridors made for all those incredible ladies' hooped ballgowns. The rooms are HUGE with high ceilings. There are cheap rooms available with the ablutions across the corridor. The showers are communal [male/female] with no curtains!! Best you time it well if you're the shy sort of person - otherwise get your travelmate to watch the door!!! This place is rather different to your normal backpackers but there's not much else going in this town.
