352264 3 Location 490263 Being used to the amazing hospitality of cruise ships and bed & breakfasts on our last few vacations, the service at this resort took me a little off-guard.  We should have come prepared with a spanish phrase book because whenever we needed something (& we often needed to request something fixed or clean towels) language was a huge barrier.  I expected at least the front desk to have an average level of english vocabulary.  Our view was fantastic, the grounds were beautiful and the resort's beach was superb (sand - pristine, water - clear).  There was no shortage of alcohol but the food was very disappointing.  5 out of 6 of us were ill at some point in the trip - 1 even had to get meds from the resort doctor.  The pasta bar was great but you can only eat so much pasta.  By the end of the week, we had resorted to nibbling on french fries.  The a la carte restaurants were exceptional however.  Presentation, taste & quality all exceeded expectations.  Not sure how this resort compares to others in the area but the good & the bad evened out - combined with great travel companions to make a great vacation but don't think I'd recommend this resort to others. 2009-01-23T12:00:43-08:00 421527579 2009-01-18T16:00:00-08:00 0 18 194285 8161734 352264 0 213658 0.0595001063924116 2009-01-11T16:00:00-08:00 Published 5.0 2009-01-23T12:10:18-08:00 117777 0
