<body>Situated on William Street, the Lido is a Vietnamese restaurant. A modern contemporary feel, this was a Wednesday evening and it was packed. The menu was extensive offering many entrees and main courses for those with a discerning palate. One criticism I would make before I tell you about the food, the Banquet Meals were only for 4 people and more. Quite often Banquest meals are a good introduction to foreign food, unfortunately on this occasion we weren't able to have a banquet. However, what we did have was delicious.

For a starter we had cold rice paper panckaes with pork and prawn served with a chilli vinagrette; this was followed by spring rolls, vegetable samosas, and salad. For the main course we shared pilau rice, and Andrew ordered duck &amp; stir-fried vegetable in oyster sauce, whilst I ordered beef fillet in a coconut cream curry sauce (it was not like korma sauce - much more subtle and tastier).

We washed our meal down with ice-cold local beer - of course!</body>
