Even though today wasn't that busy - I thought it was, but the queue markers for the tickets told me otherwise, it was still crowded inside.</p><p>What can be written about this castle that you haven't already read? The only new thing I might be able to enlighten you of is a secret I have which will let you skip the long ticket lines.</p><p>Just stop off at the TIC in the city before you go there and buy a castle pass put there by Historic Scotland to make it easy for you to see all their castles... (because, of course, Edinburgh Castle should not be the only castle you visit in Scotland).</p><p>Then all you need to do is show the pass and you will have just saved yourself an hour!</p><p>And one last secret.
