This is where many portenos (this is what Buenis Arians are called) go on the weekend although we did not find it too crowded. This is still the place for the livestock market but on the weekends it is filled with craft sellers food stalls and performing artists. Reall nice but boy did it stink in some places. i think some of the week visitors left something dead there about a month ago!! However we ate all kinds of traditional food..including the ice cream (did I mention before that this is really good?).

Danica with the Traditional Agrentinian Toffee Apple covered in Popcorn...not! I was eating a choripanes...(sausage sandwich) which incidentally was really delicious.

At around 3.30 pm the sortija takesplace and this was really worth seeing. Dressed in Gaucho regalia horsemen race down the street on their horses tanding up in the saddle with their eyed fixed on a small ring dangling from a string which they attempt to spear with a small stick. Believe it or not is actually can be done as we saw it happen a few time. Man there guys ride like the wind and it really is great to watch.

On the way home we bought steak for dinner-which Roberto said was cheap as chips, and I will believe him because I still cannot understand much at all. I must get better at this.
