375102 5 Location 578547 This is a tour run by Fjord Tours.  They run a number of different types of tours, catering to all types of time allotments.  We took the 1-day NOrway in a Nutshell tour.  Our only regret is that we literally took the tour in one day.  We should have stayed the night in one of the pit stop cities, such as Bergen or Flam.  It was absolutely gorgeous and amazing!  We left bright and early (although, during the summer, bright and early could easily mean 3 a.m.!) and left from Oslo Sentralstasjon to Myrdal.  This was a gorgeous scenic route.  The mountains were incredibly green and the higher and higher we went, the more snow-capped it became.  We then switched trains to the Flam Railway system on our journey to Flam.  Flam was gorgeous.  Situated in between two gorgeous mountains, this was the beginning of our fjord tour.  We ascended the boat for a 2-hour cruise through the fjords.  Relaxing and gorgeous.  From Gudvangen (where we got off our boat), we hopped on a bus to get to Voss.  This drive was incredible.  Up steep mountains and passing waterfall after waterfall, we finally got to Voss after about an hour.  From Voss, we boarded the train to Bergen.  Bergen was incredible.  Coastal city with a slow-village like atmosphere.  The people here sure know how to enjoy themselves!  After some time in Bergen, we hopped the night train back to Oslo and returned to Oslo early in the morning. 2007-06-11T00:22:56-07:00 612368396 2007-06-09T17:00:00-07:00 0 -9223372036854775790 168643 4756361 375102 0 199120 0.064426698989684 2007-06-09T17:00:00-07:00 Published 25.0 2007-06-11T00:22:56-07:00 100730 0
