12493 5 Location 463556 <p>The Taj Mahal is an experience that exceeds expectations. It is indeed spectacular and so worth the stop. It was good that we stayed overnight and saw it in the late afternoon, at sunset and at sunrise. In the afternoon we were able to have photo's taken with the Taj reflecting in the water around it. We did not see that beauty in the morning. The Taj is also open late on the nights of and around the full moon. We were told that when you see that Taj under a full moon it looks as if it is floating in the sky - we were 3 days late to see that but If I ever go again I will bear that in mind. It is certainly "up there" in the things to do before you die category. However, that said, there have been so many surprises in India - places you have heard should be seen and when you get there they blow your mind but they are not as famous as this landmark.
