We were tired from walking around Pikes Place Market and needed a caffeine fix and a rest, so we ducked into this charming little shop. The walls are covered with cool paintings and drawings -- many from local artists -- and there's also the "Petite Gallery" which showcases and sells artwork created by local children, the proceeds of which go to the Pike Market Childcare Center and Preschool. Nice! The art makes for a fun and interesting experience, and the cozy area with big squighy chairs makes for a chill environment.

I've heard so much about Seattle coffee -- that it's supposed to rock your socks -- but I didn't feel that my socks were especially rocked by the vanilla latte I ordered. It was still creamy and yummy, just nothing super special. Michael had their house coffee and said it was good -- plus they have free coffee refills! We didn't try any of the pastries, but they appear to have pie, cookies, coissants, and other tasty looking treats. The prices are pretty much average for a coffee shop, and free wireless is included. We liked the staff -- they were super friendly and helpful folks.
