One of the best hostel I have stayed in

From Vietnam: Hanoi in Ha Noi, Vietnam on Jul 30 '07

Rating of 5 out of 5

This is probably the best place I have stayed in Asia. It has definitely been the most fun. It is owned by a couple of Australians and run by them and a large group of Vietnamese staff. They are a very friendly and helpful bunch and most of them knew my name by the time I left.

There is a lot of effort made to ensure that people have an opportunity to meet each other. There is a roof top bar that is open until 10pm every night with a happy hour from 5-6. There are barbecues 3 or 4 times a week and a free keg of lager every Sunday. The early closing helps to ensure that things don't get too rowdy or noisy in the hostel but there isn't a curfew.

The rooms have good big solid bunks with huge lockers that could easily swallow my 100 litre rucksack twice over. Each bed has a shelf and a bedside lamp. The rooms are air conditioned from late afternoon to morning. Each room has a bathroom with more showers on the roof. Everything is kept very clean, It's one of the cleanest hostels I have stayed in despite being very busy. I got to know a lot of people while staying here and was sorry to leave.
