289193 3 Location 567782 <p>After spending two nights at the Sheraton Krakow, we expected our one-night stay at the Radisson SAS to be similarly enjoyable. Although the Radisson is supposed to be top-rated, we found it a step below the Sheraton in comfort and service. </p><p>In our experience, Radisson SAS hotels are focused on design, but not on comfort. While we enjoyed the spacious marble bathroom, the room and furnishings seemed more stylish than restful. We never felt quite “at home” while relaxing in the room, despite the fact that our junior suite had a sofa, chaise lounge and desk and chair. The “harmony” and “city style” concept for the rooms is fun, but the execution doesn’t live up to the promise of the creative idea. </p><p>Service at the Radisson is okay, but it lacks the polish of better hotels. For example, we never saw the concierge, despite several visits to the lobby during our stay and the check-in staff seemed merely adequate. The “super” breakfast buffet and the service seemed average: we had to ask the hostess twice for coffee and never had any other assistance from the wait staff. </p><p>Before we left for Krakow, we read a Trip Advisor review of this hotel that commented on the loud slamming guest room doors. We discounted that review until we experienced the banging sounds firsthand.
