When my friend and I reached London we were very excited to see that Yo Sushi! was so closed to our hotel. It was one of many sights that we put on our "to do" list in London. The two of us had seen the restaurant featured in a travel video and thought that the whole idea was really cool. For those of you not familiar to Yo Sushi's concept, allow me to elighten you. Restaurant guests are seated at booths (or on bar stools) near a conveyor belt. Various colored plates of food ride the conveyor belt and pass by all of the restaurant guests. If you see a dish that interests you, you merely remove it from the belt. At the end of your meal, someone in the wait staff comes along and adds up you bill based on the piles of colored plates at your area of the table.

On the tables (and counter) are charts that show the price breakdown according to plate color. There are also booklets that show pictures of each dish (with accompanying descriptions) as well as a list of other dishes that you can order from the kitchen.

The service here was pretty average. We were seated at a booth by the hostess but had to signal someone to the table when we were done eating so we could get our bill. For the most part this restaurant is "self- serve" because each booth is also equipped with taps for both plain and sparkling waters. Unless you order another kind of drink, the wait staff just gives you a refillable glass that you can fill up yourself with either tap!
