A fun nude sunbathing experience in Palm Springs, California

My husband had been trying to convince me to go to a nudist colony for years. Finally, I gave in. We just got back from Terra Cotta Inn in Palm Springs, CA. Their site is http://sunnyfun.com  Their blog which is very informative and interesting to read is http://theterracottainn.blogspot.com

I wish I had listened to my husband years ago.

Dave had shown me on the web that Terra Cotta was considered the most mainstream clothing optional resort in the US and he was right. It was just like going to a Marriott except that everyone was much nicer and were nude sunbathing.

When we got there, Tom the owner greeted me at the door completely nude which took me aback. But, he was such a nice guy, being naked seemed natural. When we walked by the pool, guests waved and said hi. They were also all naked.

I had told my husband I wasn't going to go nude sunbathing. I said I might work up the courage to be topless, but never nude.

I peeked through our blinds and saw everyone was nude around the pool. They were relaxing, reading, talking and having a fun time. I decided then and there, when in Rome.....  Off went my clothes, on went sunscreen, and I proudly walked out of my room. Do you know what happened? Nothing. No once cheered, clapped, or even noticed.

Dave and I picked out chairs by the pool, started chatting with people by us and 5 days latter we are now life long nudists.

I strongly recommend if you want a romantic place to go where you are treated like friends, Terra Cotta Inn is perfect. I agree with everyone, they are the best place for first time nude sunbathing. Once you go you never want to leave, and you can't wait to go again.
