Packed full of vino, we ventured out for a big walk around Rome at night.

We had met some really cool Canadians at the hostel we were staying at, not that I can recall their names now- all I remember was that they introduced us to the meaning of a 'TUK'- those weird beanies with the hat flaps....and a nice Aussie from Kings Cross named Louise. Anyway, we all decided to go check out the Trevi Fountain.

It took us a while to walk to it, but wow, it was so worth it!

There's always heaps of people congregating around the fountain, but we got down the front to throw our euro in...as the legend goes, you throw a coin over your shoulder once and make a wish, twice to ensure your return to Rome.

Josh was a bit tipsy, and tried to throw his coin into the fountain, but missed- a sad sight indeed given he was within 2 metres of the water, and it flew wayward into the crowd. haha!!!

The fountain is beautiful...so much so that we returned to it the second night. However, this night was tainted by harrassment from rose sellers...who barked at us as we made a getaway!
