A few steps from the Station and the ferry, the Daam Straat is 100m away and the key to your sightseeing activities.

Very expensive but when compared with the location it justifies it's price - i suggest that the for the Youth Hostel make bookings in advance and reach amsterdam before 2000hrs local time in winters so that you are able to make reservations on the spot with the government travel desk, the commercial ones tend to take you for a ride.
