A beautiful resort run on "Fiji time"

We are not usually 5 star resort travellers, we managed to score a week at this hotel through a family member's Time Share agreement. For that reason the whole week only cost us a few hundred dollars. I'm sure the regular cost would be vastly more expensive than this. We stayed in a beautiful fully self contained villa overlooking the ocean. And when I say fully self contained...it had everything! A blender and all! When you're used to scratched electric fry pans at a backpackers, this was heaven in comparison. Beautiful rooms, relatively tastefully decorated ("beachy" with the baskets of shells and wicker chairs, you know the style). Comfy beds, lovely staff, free bicycles/board games/bus/entertainment. The largest pool in the southern hemisphere (apparently) was conveniently located and had a swim up bar. This is nice until you start thinking about it a little too much...drinking too much in a pool can have many negatives! It was always clean and quiet though.

The "Island" of Denauru is more of a chunk of the coast with a canal cutting it off from the mainland. The beaches aren't really swimming beaches, dark silty sand and the water isn't postcard blue but it's a beautiful spot for sunset walks and pretty much always deserted. If you want "postcard" islands do some day trips, Mala Mala Island was beautiful!

I loved Fiji and I loved this place, even if I would never be able to afford it without a discount offer!

Hi guys, we are travelling to Fiji on the 13th April till the 25th April. Myself, my husband and 3 kids (ages 13, 11, 8) and it's our FIRST holiday as a Family overseas!!!! WE ARE ALL VERY EXCITED!!!! :) For you guys who have travelled there before, we are staying on Denarau island at Wyndham Resort (from memory) and we can stay ther for the 1st 7 nights and check out from there on the 20th. Therefore we are looking for family accommodation from the 20th, checking out on the 25th. Can't afford to pay an arm and a leg, so just wandering if anyone is involved in timeshare and would like to assist us for those days in getting a great deal??? or does anyone have any other good suggestion?? It would be much appreciated. Thanks guys in advance. Cheers. Koula :)
