370143 4 Location 456835 This is a great little getaway from the city of Mazatlan. You just have to get down to the beach in front of El Cid, the mega resort in the Golden Zone. From there, you take a cool boat with wheels (yes large wheels) that drives off the sand, narrowly missing all of the tourists frolicking on the beach. The boat has a shark face and teeth painted on the front. After a half hour boat ride, you arrive on a fairly deserted island. A party boat docked off shore later in the day so people could drink and watch the sunset, but they never came on the island. Boats leave for the island several times a day and the price is fairly cheap, considering that you get to hang out on a island almost by yourself all day. We didn?t stray from the beach but I'm pretty sure you can't get to other parts of the rocky island. You get pretty nice views of Mazatlan from the Island, but you still feel far away from it all.
