After our road trip we arrived back in Queenstown and booked into the same hostel we had been in previously.
The next day we decided to just do a few activities that were fun in Queenstown before we headed to Mount Cook the next day. I took Jon ice skating as he had never been before. It has to be said I’m probably not the best teacher but Jon was getting around pretty well quite quickly.
After some lunch we played “the most amazing mini golf game in the world!” apparently. It was a lot of fun, with various special effects but most importantly I won. I never beat Jon at mini golf! We then went up the Queenstown skyline and went luging as we had done in Rotorua but we’d enjoyed it so much we thought why not do it again. Finally we finished the day with a spot of outdoor mini golf and this time Jon won. I know my victory wouldn’t last!
After a nice final day in Queenstown we’re off to Mount Cook tomorrow.
