We spent 4 gorgeous days on the Perhentian island of Besar. It was just like a holiday within a holiday!! A lot of Westerners, from all over, come here! Jackie took an open water diving course and qualified on 1st April :-) During our dives, we saw the Sugar Wreck and lots of beautiful marine life: rays, angel fish, butterfly fish, triggers, nudibranches, wrasse, puffer fish, gobies, shrimps & crabs and two enormous cobia! We also took a boat over to the fishing village on the island of Kecil and had a wander around. Behind the modern facade by the shore, we found the residential tin shaks. There were also heaps of goats roaming free everywhere (chewing on anything they could find!). We even saw a tiny baby monkey in one of the back yards!
