Puerto Vallarta/Nuevo Vallarta

Had a great time in both towns.  Nuevo Vallarta caters to some larger mega resorts and timeshares where you really don't leave your hotel much.  I did the zip line trip but it really is better for younger kids- was not that exciting.  I booked some diving but was dissapointed with the quality- there is a ton of sea life, especially larger creatures like manta rays and whales but visibility is terrible and there isn't much in the way of coral formations.  Puerto Vallarta is more metropolitan where you can leave your hotel and explore the downtown area.  Lots of good restaurants and shopping.  My favorite part of the trip was the fact that the sun was blazing every day and I could just chill by the pool or beach and get tan.  There is some cool mayan architecture and the scenic backdrops make for some great pictures.  More of a chill resort type trip, though I prefer adventure, this was a really nice holiday destination.
