hello again! Just some more news for you guys..well, my last group turned out to be a 60 something couple from england..really nice people, but i was warned in advance that they are first class complainers, so i had to almost treat them like VIP guests which was quite tiring!!! I took them camping in the jungle for one night which they really enjoyed, we also went fishing but unfortunately didnt manage to catch anything..which was probably a blessing in disguise cos i probably wouldnt have been able to pull in the fish (cos the fish in the river are HUGE!!). We saw the otters in the lake again yesterday and also dusky titi monkeys and they also managed to see our resident sloth which we have living above the swimming pool area. They guy was really funny though..he bought these rubber shoes with from the uk..for walking in water with..but he refused to put them in his bag, and i actually cannot count the number of times he left them behind in different places..so he was CONTINUALLY running back to get them!!! I had to laugh, cos he always came back with a BRIGHT red face and half dying, but tried to act like he was fit as a marathon runner!!! Ayway, i saw something quite shocking the other day..we were on our way back from the parrot lick and a local boat passed us carrying a huge load of timber..2 minutes later we heard a huge crunch and we saw their boat break in half in front of our eyes!!!!! The back part of the boat immediately sunk to the bottom of the river and the front part (with the people in it) luckily stayed afloat long enough for the people to get off and swim to the bank of the river (luckily they were right on the edge)! Luckily no one drowned but it was quite a thing to witness, all my guests just stared with thier mouths wide open!! obviously they couldnt believe their eyes either! Rich had a good time at the parrot lick the one day..he saw over 100 macaws at the lick..must have been awesome to see. Oh, and i have to tell u about this one couple that came to lodge in jorges group..the strangest couple i have ever seen! a big fat american guy (who couldnt speak spanish!) and his peruvian wife (who couldnt speak a word of english!!)..really dont know how that works!! Think they must have a communication problem!! Anyway, the peruvian woman bought her dog with..a toy poodle..and she took it on all their walks, on the motorised canoe etc!! i couldnt beleive it!!!!Who brings their dog to the jungle???!! Well, richs last group was an american family which he took camping, they were a good group he said. And my last group was a young british couple..they were really nice too, except, yesterday i had to take 8 of jorges people to the lake..a really annoying american woman and her 10yr old son (she refused to let her son go on a night walk or on the canoe in the rain cos she didnt want him getting sick and also offered to go get him an icecream cos he didnt like the food we served them for the lunch the one day!). I also got 4 indians who now live in america..probably the most annoying people i have EVEEERRRRRR met! They went for a shower when i told them we had 5 mins to get on the boat, then all one by one fell down the mud stairs after i had told them each individually how to get down them safely..but i got moaned at by each one. They complained that the walk to the lake was too long, and "no one told them there would be a 45 min walk"..(sorry, pls excuse me for expecting u to walk when u have come to visit the amazon jungle!!). Then, the complained cos we gave them eggs for breakfast (sorry, pls excuse me for thinking vegetarians eat egss)..and they couldnt settle with bread for breakfast, it had to be toast!! Then they refused to eat dinner cos they said that the vegetarian food we were serving wasnt good enough.and worst of all..they would not stop talking!!!!!!! I had to shout over their voices to explain things on the lake (after asking them all SOOOO many times not to be rude)..and they made SUCH a noise laughing and screaming at 4am in the morning when they were getting ready to go the parrot lick (all my guests complained that they couldnt sleep!!). I felt like tipping the boat over on purpose when we were on the lake to see if any of them could swim (secretly hoping none of them could!!)..no, they were really bad..bad is not the word!!! ok well, have to run, getting new groups today..rich is getting another camping group..hope everyone is well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Keep smiling!!! Lots of love, Us
