PEI seems to be one of them places that survies on tourists and growing potatoes. i got there on sunday and there was a constant stream of RV's and cars getting off the island, i presume after a weekend there. The Confederation Bridge (15KM) is nearly a tourist attraction in itself (although an expensive one, you have to pay $40 for the privilege of driving it),though your cant see all that much from it.
Charlottetown is nice once you get pass the suburbs and into the downtown (which is kept well). there are a coupe of nice streets with some good restaurants and bars. i think if Canada hadn't being established there, it wouldn't be much of a town.
the best parts of PEI are went you get out into the countryside. the beaches are wonderful even if the the water is cold. Give me the water off galway any day. was able to laze about in the sun at the beaches national park. plus it was nice to drive on the back roads(great twisty small roads). scenery was better than expected with lots of farms (hence the potatoes) plus saw my first cows in canada hadn't seen any in six months, i was just like "bloodly hell Cows".
didn't bother with the anne of the green gables house cause i wasn't really that interested, but boy do they advertise it.
after two nights in PEI i was ready to hit the road again.

Prince Edward Island is a lot nicer than the above article depicts it.
