At midday we caught a bus to Pisco, arriving some 5 hours later. We checked into our hotel & then headed off for a quick explore of the town before dark. Took us all of about 15 minutes! So... instead we decided to go for a couple of drinks. I ended up getting a free Pina Colada, but wasn't entirely sure why (either the lady on the street promoting the bar thought I was a tour rep as I was speaking to her in Spanish, or she fancied me - ha ha!).

In the evening we went out for a group meal & were given free Pisco Sours & mussels to start with (which were totally divine). Phil ordered a speciality dish which was supposed to be a huge fish (about a foot long if the waiter's explanation was anything to go by), so was sorely disappointed to receive a very small meal indeed. Poor lad! After dinner we headed back to the main square & witnessed a very bizarre transvestite show with men dressed as women & whipping each other, sitting atop each other etc. Very odd indeedy.

The following morning we went to see the Ballestas Islands in the Bay of Paracas - said to be a mini Galapagos. Whilst there is not the same variety of animals here as in the Galapagos, the quantities of them are much much greater - islands covered in birds, & rocks & beaches covered in sea lions. Lots more wildlife photos for me :o)
