Sun and Rain

As you remember, the plan for Day 2 was to rent a scooter and drive around the island - get a lay of the land, if you will.  However, rain was forecast so we chickened out.  I had no intention of sacrificing my knees to the asphalt of Thailand.  Instead we spent the morning at the hotel's fabulous private beach, getting our first taste of the sun and sand.  After lunch we grabbed our umbrellas and headed into Phuket Town for some shopping.  Our little taxi driver drove like a madman, but we lived to tell the tale.  Here are some pics of us, both wet and dry.
