This is an extremely busy day, and one which tests my mental and physical strength. We head off at 5am to Albany in the car, then catch the flight to Perth. Its a long 1 hour flight as Matthew is quite demanding. At Perth we are met by my friend, who kindly agrees we can go back to her place for the day. By this point I can hardly walk btw, as the sunburn has kicked in and swollen up my legs and feet. I am in agony.
My friends are so kind, as staying at the airport for the day wouldnt have been much fun with 2 kids. It is their day off, which makes their kindness much greater. I understand much more than when I was younger the value of true friends.
We spend the day in my friends house, I couldnt have walked far if I had wanted. Then we leave for Perth International Airport, and our final flight for 2 months. I am at the end of my ability to cope as exhaustion starts to kick in. I am pleased we didnt add a week in Sydney to our itineray.
The plane flight is uneventful. Matthew has definitely overcome his problems with flying, and is now 100% aware we are in the sky. He loves it, especially take off and landing. I dont have time to be scared of flying, too busy with the boys! The airline hasnt got my request for a child's meal, which annoys me slightly as I had rang twice to ensure it was booked. The staff are very helpful though, and make up for the airline's shortcomings.
