Well, here I go again with another travel blog. The last one was an editor's pick which was a big surprise. I never dreamed of giving Brother Bill a run for his money in the travel writing game. especially with my modest adventures. But anyway, here we go again. This trip actually took place three weeks before my Jamaica blog but I just got a copy of the pictures from one of my travel buddies and I couldn't very well write a travel blog without some wonderous pictures to show off.
In keeping with Bill's song title theme, I think this one is appropriate, although I'm not really sure if the Wasatch Mountains of Utah qualify as part of the rockies, and I really am the last person you'ld find listening to John Denver, I decided to go with it anyway. With Bill out seeing the world and the doldrums of winter in NY getting me down, I really needed to get some sunshine and powder to recharge my spirit. I was all set to go solo in search of some powder skiing when some old travel friends invited me to chip in on a condo in Park City.
The skiing was great, a little more on the sunny side than the powder side, but I did get a whole day of powder skiing in the chutes and trees at Deer Valley(my old stomping ground). The weather was beautiful as it always is in Park City. I've been skiing alot of other places but I always hold the skiing in Utah in high esteem. This trip was just what I needed to break out of my funk. With beautiful scenery, great skiing and good people to enjoy it with, the only thing more you can ask for is a round of beers and chicken wings at the end of the run to make life complete, mission accomplished. --- oh and more beers later in the hot tub is definitely a must even if it is against the rules.
Well that's it for this installment of BOBBO' EXCELLENT ADVENTURES. tune in next time for another fun filled blog.
P.S. Much thanks to Kim and company for the invite and thanks to the Meads for eating my dust on the mountain.

Utah powder, nice. I'm jealous since this past winter was the first since I'm 8 years old that I didn't ski at all. Great blog once again Bob and I like the new plugs in that pic.
