Before we left the states, I had to laugh at the idea of staying in a Holiday Inn abroad but was was pleasantly surprised upon our arrival.  Paris is an enormous city and much larger than I had anticipated.  At first, it seemed as though our hotel was very distant from many of the city's attractions but that wasn't exactly true.  It is within walking distance from Notre Dame, Sainte Chapelle and Per Lachaise Cemetery (each under 5 miles away).

The service staff was great especially the concierge who rescued me by bringing up a synthetic pillow (I'm highly allergic to down filled which is what the hotel puts in each of the rooms)  around 11 pm. 

The rooms are fairly roomy, clean and  well-decorated.   The best thing about this hotel though was definitely the morning's buffet breakfast! They had just about every kind of breakfast food imaginable and would make you a serving of pancakes right on the spot.
