“Cosmopolitan one star hotel” |
I have stayed at the Hotel Rosamar many times and am always impressed with the friendly and helpful staff and what good value it is. Many rooms have harbour views and there are excellent views of the harbour and mountains from the roof terraces.
The location is out of the centre of the city in the slightly seedy El Terreno area ; there is convenient bus service (two buses) into the city centre. El Terreno is the centre for gay night life with bars staying open to dawn but there are bars,restaurants and cafes nearby which cater to all persuasions including the undecided.
The hotel is straight friendly .. that is, many gay people stay there but a warm welcome is offered to all customers and it has a fascinating mix of (mostly) Europeans. The bar is lively and stays open past 1pm, so if noise is a problem for you, either get a room at the rear of the hotel or perhaps this is not your place.
