I'm actually amazingly happy today for some reason. I still have millions of blisters all over me but I now know that this is normal so feel better about that.

As this is my fourth time here it is almost beginning to feel like home.

I replaced my lost Canon IXUS 50 with an IXUS 60 today. They threw in 2 1GB memory cards and a case but it still cost me around 240 pounds.  I feel privileged that I able to just walk into a shop and replace such an expensive item.  This didn't take up as much time as I thought - I checked the two most professional looking camera shops for price comparison and found that with some negotiating I could agree exactly the same price with the salesmen at both shops so assume they wouldn't drop mush further. Of course I could have bought a lesser camera for only 125 pounds but really liked my IXUS and so emotion choose the way.  It's got a bigger screen and 1000 more megapixels but it's essentially the same camera. If I loose this one then I'll downgrade considerably.  I met a Danish guy, Philip, in Calungute in Goa whom I became good friends with (free accommodation in Copenhagen and likewise for him at my place in UK - I'm definitely going), and he had his camera stolen in the hotel we were both staying at. He downgraded to a throw away snapper(!) but then he only had a few days left before heading home.  It was funny to watch him using up the film on the bus.

It's FA Cup Final time in about 90 mins and I'm looking forward to it so let's hope it'a not one of those "Italian" style encounters.

Tomorrow I fly to Leh and will miss the net (expensive and slow there) as have just began to get back into writing my blog.

I even considered buying a carpet/rug today which is something that I would never ever have even had a moments though about during the previous few months.  I found out that they are incredibly; ridiculously;y; outstandingly, cheap. 2 pound for a beautiful small rug.  Sending it home might cost 10 -20 pounds though but if I had a larger budget I'd be seninghome so many things: ornaments, rugs, lampshades, furniture, general other junk.  Much of it is worked in detail and although possibly not the bestest of the bestest quality to an expert, but that matters not you could kit out your abode like a Persian palace.

Please take some photos of the rugs and "junk" you wished you could send home.
