When we sailed into Nurenberg we decided to forgo the Christmas markets in the morning and afternoon as we had been to quite a few and this city is filled with history albeit a dark history. Hitler had many of his Nazi parades in Nurenberg and also the famous trials of war criminals were held there. We decided to go the courthouse and we found that they gave a lecture in the actual courtroom where the trials took place. After the lecture, we took the train back and walked around the markets for a little while and headed back to the ship. Since we didn't have a lot of time in Nurenberg we did not get to the parade grounds or the Documentation Center which has a detailed history of the Nazi Party and seemed very interesting.
