Nice - The capital of the Riviera and fifth largest city in France

Nice we found to be much more pleasant than Marseille in terms of feel and style.  Cannes (home of the famous film festival) is only 20 minutes away by train and Nice itself has a great beach promenade and boat harbors.  There is certainly no shortage of ego on display in terms of flaunting money and various status symbols but it somehow just lives up to the image of the place!
