We went out with a dive boat today to go snorkeling at Mun Island. If I didn't know better, I would think that Sonja and Daniel were born in a swimming pool. Soon they should have gills. There is no worry looking after them, the water was very calm, and the snorkeling very enjoyable. Both Sonja and Daniel quickly learned to dive under water to look at the fish with the snorkel masks on mimicing Scott. I think it was more enjoyable watching them than looking at the fish and coral. Not only does the boat crew drive the boat (under charter with the dive company) but they also cook the food. I will definitely not be loosing weight anytime soon.
We came back to the hotel for an afternoon siesta and haircuts for Scott and Daniel from the nearby street barber. No worry about hygiene as each razor was individually sealed and wrapped. This man took 1 1/2 hours to cut their hair and clean Scott's ears. Apparently ear cleanliness is more important to the Asian community than tooth care! Scott would need to describe this but it sounded very bizarre. This is also Scott's first professional cut since Sonja was born 12 years ago. The clippers were not automatic and were akin to scissors.
To the beach for swimming and BBQ lobster. The venders carry pots and hot coals from the shoulder carry balance assembly. We will post pictures later. The husband follows with the cooler filled with sweet snails, lobster, crab, prawns and other shellfish I am not familiar with. We ate in a rush and were caught in a major rain storm. The lobster lady assured us that the rain would miss us. Next time we will watch the weather better!
I apologize for the ad nauseam about food and daily life but our life has boiled down to these necessities.

No apologies needed -- it's fascinating! Gotta go clean my ears now...
