The day the weather changed

Finally, the typhoon left and in its place was beautiful sunshine and beaches. We were at Nha Trang. The highlight was probably the day-long boat cruise around 4 islands. It was especially fun for Jon who spent most of the trip throwing up over the side of the boat. But for the rest of us... what a party! Better than average food, swimming, snorkelling, boat karaoke, lying on the beach, playing volleyball with the Russian mafia, checking out an aquarium, drinking wine in the ocean - it tastes better than the water anyway. I mean actually drinking IN the ocean, with a floatation device around our waist - wish we could post photos but they are all on Josh's camera.

The rest of our time in Nha Trang wasn't much to write home about (no pun intended). Relaxing in hammocks, visiting temples and being coerced into buying yet even more postcards; does anyone want a postcard? Give us your address and we'll mail you one.

Had another go on the bikes, more successful than last time since we filled up with petrol at the START of the journey. Frequented the local Why Not? bar... why not indeed? And then on the last night, thanks to fellow tourists' recommendation, had dinner at a restaurant specialising in cooking your own meal in front of your eyes on a mini terrocotta barbeque. Great food too. Our stomaches have shrunk. So have our bank accounts. Talk to you later from Mui Ne.
