On our way from Kaikoura we made a quick stop to take a walk, which was nice to be able to have the freedom to do! Ahhh, the joys of having your own vehicle!!! We arrived with enough time for me to jump on the free bike that the hostel provided and head off to the beach. I'm SO glad I took the time to go out here, even if I was on a bike that was not working right. The beach was really nice and I had the highlight of seeing kite surfers! I vow to try this sport before I step foot in the states again!

I really feel that Nelson has more to offer than just the beach, unfortunately we have made reservations in the morning to start our kayak trip at Abel Tasman National Park, which I have to admit I am really excited to do!
