Clouds and mist slowly encroached on the hill, shrouding the surroundings into memory. I sat there reminiscing about the last couple of days I’ve spent in Nagarkot.

Nagarkot is famed for it’s spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayas – Daulagiri on the far west, a hint of Everest in the center and Kanchanchunga in the far east.

Unfortunately, with the clouds and the mist the view has been elusive. Despite the clouds and mist making the view elusive, my time here has been unforgettable. My new friends and I had been relaxing in the tranquil atmosphere. Spending endless hours laying on the grass, laughing, chatting and just enjoying each other’s company. There were also village children whom we played with and laughed with on occasion. At one point, the sweet voices of the children singing nepali folksongs soothingly resonated in the air as we lay on the descending hill overlooking the lush green surroundings of terraced hills and winding ridges.

It was beautiful. It was relaxing. It was unforgettable.
