Munich - brief stop and Dads Bday Plotting

So Munich we just stopped in for the night to watch the 3rd place World Cup game basically, it was great to see Germany win, the staff at the hostel were going nuts, but it was too bad it couldnt have been for Gold instead! Also after a few beers I starting thinking that Dad got to Frankfurt the next day (on his birthday), then after determining it was only 4 hours away it was a great idea to surprise him at the Frankfurt airport. Some flaws to this plan were that I caught the earliest train at 6:30 but that was still cutting it close, and that if I missed dad he would be driving to holland with no idea I was looking for him.....

So lo and behold our train is delayed and dad was supposed to arrive at 10:55, I got to the airport at 11, starting running from gate to gate, then I see his flight got in EARLY (the one time ever I am sure), so i run back with the intention of interrogating the car rental people to see if he had been by yet, BUT as I am running that way with big pack and all, I hear a very astonished shout of "JOANNA". So dad saw me first, he thought I was just off somewhere else and was sooo surprised it was to see him! 

We spent that night watching the football final in Herculaam with Toon and Tinike dads friends, great fun, they have a wonderful old farm house with a pig!!
