Well, we saw Byron and Preena off. It was so nice to spend time with them and be able to go to their Goan wedding. And then there were four: me, Kevin, Joe and Joan. They had one more night with us and we stayed at the Hilton in Southern Mumbai, which was really beautiful, and Joan (being the master of points) had us up on the Executive Floor. We got to live up the scene in the hotel for the last night, getting drinks at a really hip bar and eating at a delicious Italian restaurant. We were so sad to see Joe and Joan go though!!! Kevin and I wanted to whisk Joan away to our next stop, Africa, with us, as she is such a nature lover and would be completely in her element. Sadly, they got into a cab the next morning and headed off to visit their other son, Chris, in Madrid. The story doesn't come to a completely tear-jerking end, though, as Joe and Joan left us in the Hilton to fend for ourselves for the next few nights. We were like Machauley Culkin in Home Alone 2: Lost In New York. Ha ha. No, but really, it was very nice of them, and we definitely took full advantage, revolving our days around the Executive Lounge. Not too many worries in the ol' Hilton.
We did manage to venture out one day into the crazy streets of Bollywood, when we went to book our Air India flight. Man, India is one aggressive city. We had heard stories from girls while we've been traveling, how this naturally blonde girl had to dye her hair dark, she got stared at and hassled so much. Walking out of the sanctity of the hotel, the men really were as aggressive as everyone was saying. It was like Kevin was completely invisible. They would literally stop one inch away from my face. SPACE!!! And the street children would just grab at you and tug at your clothes. They don't really understand the idea of personal space. It was all in good fun, though, and my hair is still blonde.
And it didn't stop there with the lavish treatment a la Joe and Joan. They put us up in the JW Marriott for two more nights, so we could get all bronzed and beautiful for Nairobi, Africa. :) We had our sushi fix (it is so hard to find traveling!!!) and were rejuvenated for our next stop, roughing it in Africa. Back to our own funds... Ho hum... Thanks for everything guys!!! We had a great time with you.

Joe and Joan says:
Holly, as I joked with your parents when we had that wonderful lunch with them back in Florida "your the kind of girl that can walk out of the jungle with a backpack on and jump right back into that 5 star hotel attitude and put on the high heels (the pair Joan brought you for the wedding) and go dancing in the luxury nightclub in the lobby of the Hilton,Mumbai. Only the Holly girl. Its called Hollyworld and it was so much fun being with you and Kevin and the entire wedding party. Glad we could help with a little R and R time between your great adventures.
