“Diwali!!!!!!” |
Being back in Mumbai felt good.......although I had left the pure bliss of Matheran behind, I was really looking forward to the Diwali celebrations in the big city.
So far, all but one of has had fallen ill to the stomach bug and recovered....the lucky one was Sam (but we put this down to his heavy alcohol consumption which would annihilate any bug, however militant).
Diwali eve was spent in Mubai's most exclusive club ''Prive'' thanks to my well-connected cousin. It was a great night, albeit as expensive as a night out in Central London.
We ate out on Diwali day and later went to the beachfront on Marine Drive to see the spectacle to Diwali in India. From babies to grandads, EVERYONE was in such high spirits - all happy and full of joy. The night was lit up by continuous fireworks and the atmosphere absolutely magical. A night not to forget!!!!!
The next few days were spent shopping, eating out and getting fat, and generally having a great time.
Next stop - Dubai!!
